Our management team
Marieke Saeij joined Onguard in 2016 as CTO. As of November 2019, she took on the role of CEO. As an experienced and innovative IT professional with over 18 years of experience working on Software delivery within large international companies, like ADP and Wolters Kluwer, Marieke is specialized in connecting strategy, architecture and people within an organization. She is Management 3.0; adept and an Agile and Scrum enthusiast with a pragmatic approach to business. Marieke is focused on delivering increased value and innovation through the development and motivation of engineering talent. “My helicopter view connects the technical structure within a company with the needed strategic changes in order to be more competitive, deliver better products, stimulate continuous improvement and achieve higher client satisfaction”.
Raymon van Viegen
Raymon van Viegen joined Onguard in April 2018 as CFO. Van Viegen has more than 15 years experience in the IT and finance sector. After working for several accountancy firms at the start of his career, he later switched to the client side working for companies such as Emesa, (the parent of VakantieVeilingen.nl) and LeaseWeb. At both organisations Van Viegen implemented efficient automation and quality enhancement solutions that greatly improved the performance of the finance teams. At Onguard Van Viegen again faces the challenge of improving performance and accelerating growth: “I am delighted to be part of the Onguard management team. Helping companies drive growth and take business to the next level is tremendously rewarding.”
VP Marketing & Interim VP Sales
Floor Stam, started April 2017 as Vice President Marketing. She developed the new branding, positioning and marketing strategy of Onguard. In addition to the professionalization of the marketing and communication activities and optimization of the marketing/sales funnel. Floor has broad experience in IT and B2B marketing and is a strong believer in content-driven multichannel marketing. “To develop and market a new branding and strategy is the dream of every marketer. The biggest challenge is to establish a strong platform, adding value to our customers and therefore helping them grow their business as we grow ours.”
Tim Blok joined Onguard in 2007 as a software developer. As of September 1st, 2020, Tim became Onguard's CTO. Tim benefits from 13 years of experience at the former CreditTools and then Onguard, having worked his way up through the company as a software developer, developer lead and team lead. “I’m passionate about Onguard as a company and delighted to have been able to grow throughout my career here. I am looking forward to taking the platform to the next level, with the support of the entire development team. The fintech landscape is ever-changing, but we’re committed to keeping one step ahead and delivering solutions that benefit and enhance our customers’ order-to-cash operations.”
VP Professional Services
Cor Makkinje started at Onguard more than 20 years ago as a consultant. After 12 years of service, he retired as Regional Director Netherlands to start his own business. Makkinje returned back to Onguard three years ago: “When Onguard asked me three years ago if I wanted to come back, I didn't hesitate for a moment. The organisation would like to take the next steps in their Customer Success, fully embracing this topic throughout the organisation. This means that the customer journey within Onguard must be right and that the implementation process and support seamlessly fit together. I am really looking forward to applying my knowledge and expertise to the MT and to lead the Professional Services department together with Pieter Pontier. Our aim is to ensure that our customers become ambassadors with a lot of energy and pleasure."
VP Customer Success
Debbie Staat joined Onguard at the beginning of 2018 to take customer support to a higher level. Since October 1st she has been responsible for the Customer Success & Support department: “Giving every customer the positive Onguard experience, that is my daily mission. In recent years, we have already made great strides with the Customer Success team and the Service Center and I am very happy to continue this. Every customer deserves a good experience from the moment they are interested, to the implementation of solutions. But it doesn’t stop there. We also want to provide our customers with the best possible service when the software is put into use. I am looking forward to taking a fresh look at the new possibilities, resulting in customers who are satisfied with our solutions and happy with Onguard as a partner."
