Raymon van Viegen appointed new CFO at Onguard

Amsterdam, 9 May 2018 – Raymon van Viegen (37) is the new CFO at Onguard, the FinTech company that specialises in order-to-cash solutions. Van Viegen, who took over the role from Eri Guci at the end of April, will be focussing on process optimisation within the organisation. His leadership will accelerate the achievement of Onguard’s international growth ambitions.

Van Viegen has more than 15 years experience in the IT and finance sector. After working for several accountancy firms at the start of his career, a few years later he switched to the client side with companies such as Emesa, (the parent of VakantieVeilingen.nl) and LeaseWeb. At both organisations Van Viegen implemented more efficient automation and quality enhancement solutions that greatly improved the performance of the finance team.

At Onguard Van Viegen again faces the challenge of improving performance and accelerating growth: “I am delighted to be part of the Onguard management team. Helping companies drive growth and take business to the next level is tremendously rewarding. That’s why I do it. Onguard’s progressive forward-thinking approach was also an important factor in my decision to join the company. Increasing process efficiency and aligning automation across the different departments will intensify the focus on the core business. This will give us a better understanding of our performance and enable us to make the right decisions to fuel our growth as a FinTech company.”

Onguard CEO Bert van der Zwan: “Raymon van Viegen is an experienced financial director who has amply demonstrated his capability within large organisations in recent years. With his help, we will continue to increase the professionalism of our FinTech services. He is a valuable asset to the team and we are delighted he agreed to join us.”
